Attached please find a flyer and brochure about Clean Sweep hazardous waste collection events for Iowa, Grant, and Lafayette County residents between Sept 23 and Oct 1. Note that this is free to residents but pre-registration is required because our funds are limited. Thank you to Chuck Piper for digitizing the class photos that once hung in the Community Building along with other historical photos of Montfort. Chuck has been and continues to do all of this work as his donation to the Village.
The class photos are now on display in “Cloak Room.” This is the historic area between the restrooms in the Community Building. The photos have also been posted to the Village website under the Community tab. Click the history link.
A flash drive is available in the library with a more detailed listing of classes broken out by individual along with other Montfort history photos for patrons to search. Ask the librarian on duty for help. Chuck has suggested that anyone wanting copies to make a donation to the library. Patrons will need to bring their own flash drive to download copies.
Due to staff shortage this week, the Montfort Pool’s hours will be the following:
Monday, August 8 – 2:00-6:00pm
Tuesday, August 9 – 1 :00-5:30pm; 6:00-8:00pm Wednesday, August 10 – CLOSED
Thursday, August 11 – CLOSED
Starting Friday, August 12 until Saturday, August 20 the pool will be open 1 :00-5:30pm only.
On Sunday, August 21 the pool will be open from 1 :00-4:30 and it will then be open from 5:00-7:00pm for the DOGGY DIP This will be the final day the Montfort Pool will be open.

At the Partisan Primary Election to be held on August 9, 2022, in the Village of Montfort, the following polling place locations will be used for the wards indicated:

Notice of Meeting of the Local Board of Canvassers
At the close of voting on Election Day, pursuant to the provisions of Wis. Stat. § 19.84, the Election Inspectors at each polling place will convene as the Local Canvassing Board for the purpose of conducting the local canvass pursuant to Wis. Stat. § 7.51. TESTING ELECTRONIC VOTING EQUIPMENT
FOR THE AUGUST 9, 2022 PARTISAN PRIMARY
According to Wis. Stats. 5.84 (1) Testing Equipment, the electronic voting equipment must be tested at a public meeting. The ICE electronic voting system, which utilizes automatic tabulating equipment, will be tested on Monday August 1, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in the Village Office.
This test is open to the public.
