The Village of Montfort is seeking a Pool Manager for the 2024 season.
The Pool Manager will be required to be First Aid, CPR and Lifeguard Certified.
The Pool Manager will be required to perform tasks such as administrative duties, public relations, safety procedures and all lifeguard requirements.

ORDINANCE NO. 2024-01
ORDINANCE TO AMEND SECTIONS 3.04(3) OF THE MUNICIPAL CODE OF THE VILLAGE OF MONTFORT, GRANT AND IOWA COUNTIES, WISCONSIN, RELATING TO PARKING LIMITATIONS.
Section I: : Section 3.04(3) of the Municipal Code of the Village of Montfort shall be and hereby is amended to read as follows:
(d) No person shall park any motor vehicle on the south side of West Main Street from the intersection of Rte 66 west to the intersection of West Street or on the north side from the west lot line of 306 West Main Street to West Street.
Section II: This ordinance shall take effect upon its passage and posting as required by law. Adopted and approved this 21th day of February, 2024.

Reminder:
Public works will pick up yard waste at curbside every Monday. All yard waste should be in a paper bag or tied together so that one person can lift it into the truck. They will not be empting barrels, wheelbarrows or other large containers. Containers should be 33 gallon or less.
If you need yard waste bags, they can be purchased at the village office for a $1.
Recycle items will not be picked up on Monday’s. They should be curbside on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday of each month.

In-absentee voting begins today, Tuesday, February 7, 2023. Stop in the to village clerk’s office at 102 E Park Street between the hours of 8-4:30 p.m. Monday and Wednesday and 12:30 to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday and Thursday.
TESTING ELECTRONIC VOTING EQUIPMENT
FOR THE APRIL 4, 2023 SPRING ELECTION
According to Wis. Stats. 5.84 (1) Testing Equipment, the electronic voting equipment must be tested at a public meeting. The ICE – ImageCast Evolution electronic voting system, which utilizes automatic tabulating equipment, will be tested on Tuesday, March 28, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. in the fire station, 600 Wall St.
This test is open to the public.

VOTING BY ABSENTEE BALLOT
Any qualified elector who is unable or unwilling to appear at the polling place on Election Day may submit a request to vote an absentee ballot to their municipal clerk. A qualified elector is any U.S. citizen who:

Contact your municipal clerk and request that an application for an absentee ballot be sent to you for the primary or election or both. You may make written application to your municipal clerk for an absentee ballot by mail, by fax, by email or at MyVote.wi.gov. Or you may apply in person at the clerk’s office during the In-Person Absentee Voting period listed below.
